Crown of Maine Women's Explorer Series

Learn the techniques of thriving in nature and navigating the wild. These courses will focus on building skills to survive the wilds, even if that is a city. Identify fish by species, follow animal tracks and signs, use a map and compass or better understnad the GPS on a smartphone. Prepare for recreational safety and explore techniques of kindling a fire, cooking outdoors and preparing great meals from the wild game and edible plants.
Magic the Gathering

Learn the rules, develop decks and play the game. This class will explore the trading cards and play the game to develp strategy, critical thinking and decision making in a social enviroment. Ages 17+ (younger participants must be accompnied by parent).

Come and join in the qulting fun! Learn how to quilt and continue your skills along with laughter, and new friends! Four classes will run this semester. Thursday Evening (This specific course) is the only class with slots at this time.
Welding for Beginners
with Keith Dumond
Instruction of metal fabrication and welding. Basic skills, including cutting and welding using oxyacetylene and shielded metal arc welding, MIG welding, brazing and cutting with a torch. Students will receive hands on experience in a shop setting and will meet standards set by the American Welding Society (AWS).
